Javaaz is a gemstone producer and supplier with emerald and peridot mines in Pakistan. We own these mines and bring their rough gemstones to market through parcels, selected individual stones and exceptional pieces.

Our wider business includes leased mines and direct trading partnerships with other mine owners. We begin with emerald and peridot from our own mines, building our offering around the material and the information buyers need to understand it.

OUR PURPOSE

A wider place for Pakistan's gemstones

A gemstone is first encountered through its colour and form. Understanding where it comes from adds another part of its story.

Our purpose is to bring Pakistan's gemstones to a wider international market, with clearer information about their origins and individual characteristics. We want buyers to discover the material, examine it closely and understand the offering in front of them.

For Javaaz, recognition begins with the work behind each presentation: knowing the source, describing the rough material and giving buyers a clear route to purchase.

OUR BUSINESS

Connected to the mines

Javaaz works through mine ownership, mine leases and direct trading partnerships with other mine owners. Each relationship has its own role in how gemstones reach the market.

Our first offering focuses on rough emeralds and peridot from mines we own. The wider business model gives us a basis for developing other offerings over time.

Owned mines

Javaaz owns emerald and peridot mines in Pakistan. These mines form the starting point for the gemstones presented at launch.

Leased mines

Mine leases are part of our wider business. Material from a leased operation will be described with its own source information and Javaaz's role in that operation.

Direct mine partnerships

We also trade directly through partnerships with other mine owners. When partnership material is offered, its source and our relationship to that source should be clear to the buyer.

OUR GEMSTONES

We begin with emerald and peridot

Two gemstones, each with its own expression of green. Our first offering brings together rough emeralds from Swat and rough peridot from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

The Javaaz Standard sets out our own approach to assessing rough emeralds and peridot, preparing parcels and recording the information shared with buyers.

The origin stated for an offering follows the records supporting it. The description makes Javaaz's relationship to that source clear.

Considered assessment

We describe the actual material, including its colour, form and visible internal features. Relevant inclusions, fractures and variation remain part of the account.

A clear presentation

Each offering connects its reference with photographs and recorded details. Known treatments, testing status and any independent report are identified separately from Javaaz's own observations.

STEP 5

OUR DIRECTION

Beginning with rough. Building from the source.

We are starting with rough gemstones. This is the foundation of our offering and the focus of our first relationships with buyers.

Over time, we plan to introduce cut and polished gemstones as the business develops. That next stage will require its own skills, processes and clear information about the material being offered.

Our ambition remains the same: to bring more of Pakistan's gemstone character to the market, with a clear connection between each offering and its source.
